10 Greatest Ever NUFC Bromances

2. Mathieu Debuchy & Yohan Cabaye

If it wasn't for Yohan Cabaye leaving Newcastle United, compatriot right-back Mathieu Debuchy might still be at the club. But then, if it wasn't for the now PSG midfielder joining in the first place, we might never have signed his great friend from Lille either. The pair are said to be inseparable as friends, were witnesses at each other's weddings and are often spotted socialising together, as well as cuddling affectionately for photo-shoots apparently. Their relationship was openly stated as a big factor in Debuchy's decision to leave Lille, according to the club's chairman Michel Seydoux:
€œIf there€™s a fly buzzing in his ear and telling him what to do, that fly€™s Yohan Cabaye."
They might not be together at the minute, but it's surely only a matter of time before the pair are reunited at Arsenal, given Arsene Wenger's fondness for the midfielder. And when that happens, the greatest off-pitch bromance in Newcastle history will be rekindled.
