Arguably the greatest English striker of the Premier League era, Alan Shearer just had to be here. He struck 30+ goals for three consecutive seasons between 1994 to 1996 so any of them could've made this list, but I chose to go with his title-wining season at Blackburn Rovers.

The Riversiders went all the way to clinch the league in 1995, the club's first major title in 67 years, but that wouldn't have been possible without the heroics of Shearer.

He was in the prime of his career and scored goals for fun. His tally of 34 strikes was streets ahead of anyone else, while Shearer also forged an impeccable partnership with Chris Sutton along the way.

The former England international replicated his blistering exploits once more the following season in Blackburn's limp defence of the title, and then left for Newcastle United in the summer of '96.
