£230 Million - Reported Money Spent By Louis Van Gaal On Signings Since Becoming MUFC Boss
Last season Manchester United splashed £150 million on new signings and this year they have parted with another £80 million - giving them a reported expenditure of £250 million on incomings since Louis van Gaal took charge. At the beginning of the 2014-15 campaign, Man Utd brought in Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Angel di Maria and Daley Blind. This summer, meanwhile, Memphis, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Matteo Darmian and Sergio Romero have all arrived. With that sort of outlay, the Red Devils surely have to be considered serious title contenders going forward.
