10 Lessons Learned From UFC Fight Night: Mousasi vs. Souza

10. Fight Pass/FOX Events Are Getting Dangerously Close To Being Overloaded With "Here's What Is Coming Next" Promos

Ufc Fightpass Logo F The WWE does this on their Pay-per-Views, and the UFC has done it to a lesser extent on their PPVs as well, but it would be nice if the UFC focused more on the event at hand, maybe introducing new fighters to fans, airing some vignettes, etc. - instead of constantly pushing the next show, or the debut of TUF 20, down our throats. This isn't a criticism unique to this particular event, either - it has been ongoing for a while. However, by the end of the very first fight we'd already been reminded to catch The Ultimate Fighter 20 several times, and things didn't get much better as the event wore on. Both Fight Pass and FOX Sports events have the same problem with an over-abundance of ads (both for upcoming UFC shows, and just ads in general on the FOX side), and with FOX that's a bit of a tougher nut to crack given the promotion has advertising and time commitments, but on Fight Pass, this shouldn't be as much of an issue. Given that the UFC seems to be pushing Fight Pass and Fox Sports events the most, a balance needs to be found.
