10 Newcastle Stars Who Will Leave If They Are Relegated

9. Rolando Aarons

Rolando Aarons has made just four Premier League appearances for Newcastle United - yet his goal-scoring exploits off the bench against Crystal Palace and in the Capital One Cup victory away at Manchester City showed the winger has raw ability that could have prevented the Magpies from sliding into this current mess if he had been fit for the majority of the campaign. At 19 he is vastly inexperienced but every time he has taken to the field for Newcastle he has provided pace, trickery, excitement, intent and, most importantly, end product. Frustratingly sidelined for such a long period this season with a recurring hamstring problem, Newcastle fans had all but given up hope of seeing the Jamaican-born England Under-20 international again this campaign - but he came off the bench for the final 27 minutes against Queens Park Rangers last weekend. Supremely talented and likened to Raheem Sterling, Aarons has already been linked with some of the Premier League's big guns. It really would not be a surprise to see Aarons replace Sterling at Liverpool, should the England international leave this summer. If Newcastle could keep hold of him though, Aarons could develop well in the Championship - and terrorise lower-league defences. That's a big if, however.
