In the midst of the Russell debacle, the Raiders went and signed DeAngelo Hall from the Falcons on an eye-watering $70 million, 7-year contract, an unbelievable amount for a cornerback. The Raiders paid premium money, but were rewarded with a horror show. Hall was diabolical for the Raiders, and simply couldn't get the basics right for them. He was released just eight games into his contract, picking up around $1 million for each appearance.
