It speaks volumes that JaMarcus Russell wasn't even the recipient of the worst contract ever handed out to an Oakland Raiders player. That honour belongs to DeAngelo Hall. In the midst of the Russell debacle, the Raiders went and signed DeAngelo Hall from the Falcons on an eye-watering $70 million, 7-year contract, an unbelievable amount for a cornerback. The Raiders paid premium money, but were rewarded with a horror show. Hall was diabolical for the Raiders, and simply couldn't get the basics right for them. He was released just eight games into his contract, picking up around $1 million for each appearance.
