10. Yossi Benayoun

Not that it was a smooth transition for Benayoun, as he reneged on a verbal agreement to stay at West Ham for the next four years and instead signed with Rafael Benítez's team for around £5 million. And he seemed to be worth every penny, scoring multiple hat tricks during his first year with the club, ending the season having played 48 games and scoring 11 goals. Transfer rumours nonetheless surrounded him even then, yet he stayed on for a second fruitful season at Anfield. Technically Benayoun signed on for another two years with the club in 2009, the same year he scored his first Premier League hat-trick for against Burnley and became the only player to score Premiership, Champions League and FA Cup hat tricks. Still, that didn't stop him from being shipped off to Chelsea in 2010 where he barely played following an injury to his achilles tendon. The next year he was loaned to Arsenal, then to West Ham, before ending up at QPR during the last season. In that time he has still brought the goals whenever he's on the pitch, he just doesn't get to spend much time on the pitch. He recently secured a contract with his second club, Maccabi Haifa, and will play out his remaining professional years there. Nothing too catastrophic happened to Benayoun once he'd dropped the red shirt, but he definitely petered out considerably.
