Newcastle United as we live and breath here in 2015 are a stepping stone. Any player that comes through the door at St James' Park today are sold a wonderful tale of how United can provide them with the suitable platform to showcase their talents which will have bigger Champions League clubs queueing up for their signature. Unfortunately, Newcastle will be stuck in this mode until Mike Ashley and his cost effective ways of building a football team are long gone. Although, you would be forgiven for thinking that United could feasibly build something special on the pitch if any potential signings this summer take time to do a bit of research on certain predecessors who used St James' Park as the proverbial Newcastle's Got Talent stage...
