10 Reasons Luis Suarez Is Irreplacable At Liverpool

1. It€™s Luis Suarez

Luis Suarez is probably the greatest player on the planet, after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Liverpool are not going to possess a player of his talents for some time, if ever. Having acquired him from Ajax as a hungry (pardon the pun) 24 year old year old, nobody could have predicted the personal success he would enjoy on that Anfield pitch. Despite the controversies and trouble that he has caused for himself over the years, Luis Suarez is one of the few players where one can say €˜he is worth it€™. His potential, even at 27, is mouthwatering, as he enters his prime. He illuminates the pitch with his dazzling skills, bamboozling defenders and leaving goalkeepers red-faced. Luis Suarez is the PFA Player of the Year, and for now, it€™s simply a case of damage limitation for his former side. For Rodgers, this is the toughest question he has ever been faced with in his managerial career. If he can somehow come out of the preceding season with a Champions League status still maintained, then perhaps we can start considering him to be the real deal as far as managerial nous is concerned.
