10 Reasons To Watch Anderson Silva vs Nick Diaz At UFC 183
7. To SeeIif Silva Can Reclaim Glory
Are Anderson Silva's best days behind him? At age 39, Silva certainly has fewer fights ahead of him than he has behind. However until Chris Weidman came around, he seemed untouchable. He was considered among three names as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time), the other names being Georges St. Pierre and Fedor Emelianenko. Then, like Fedor, and like most fighters, the seemingly unthinkable happened: He lost. Then lost again (of the three, only GSP seems to have avoided this fate, walking away from the sport having avenged his only two losses, and on a twelve fight win streak). There's now a huge question mark: after being gone for over a year rehabbing the broken leg suffered in the second Weidman fight, at UFC 168, can Silva come back and reclaim the glory of his past? Or is it simply too late for the legend?
