In 2008, Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was accused of sexual assault by 31yr old Andrea McNulty, while in Lake Tahoe for a celebrity golf competition. There were some pretty grisly details that were dragged out over several weeks, until the accusations against Roethlisberger fell apart, somewhat clearing his name in the process.

Then in 2010, Big Ben was once again accused of sexual assault by a 20yr old student attending Georgia College & State. He once again wasn't found guilty, but public outcry was enough that he was suspended for the first 6 games (later reduced to 4 games) of the 2010 season.

He lost a wealth of sponsorship and was forced to undergo therapy to get to the bottom of his issues.
