When Antonio Conte and Diego Costa had a training ground bust up last season, Conte told his star striker to "go to China." The super villain type striker almost called Conte's bluff as well, reportedly letting a number of Chinese Super League clubs know he was available, provided they pay him an absolute boat load of yuan.

Speculation seems to have cooled on any links to the far east but luckily for want away Diego, Atletico Madrid are interested in taking him back. Costa leapt from Atleti to Chelsea in 2014 but he wants a return and they're willing to oblige, what could possibly go wrong?

I'll tell you what could possibly go wrong, Atletico Madrid have been slapped with a transfer embargo for breaching the rules of signing players under 18. Initially, Diego Simone and co wouldn't be able to sign players for two years, however the ban has been softened until January. With the Spanish side wanting to get Costa to sign now and for Chelsea to promise they won't use him in the Champions League (so he isn't cup tied by the time he arrives in Madrid), there's still a few complications to iron out.

It's certainly a complicated deal and a one that could drag out right until the end of August but if all parties are wanting to get the deal done, you never know. Who could fill Costa's shooting boots though?
