10 Things Crystal Palace Fans Need To Know About Emmanuel Adebayor
9. After One Year Things Go Wrong
Since leaving Arsenal, the best way to describe Adebayor's form would be 'up and down'. Up coincidentally happens when he's just joined a club or is angling for a new contract and down when he's a little bit bored/his teammates have got to know him. After joining Man City, he scored fourteen goals in just thirty one games and looked like he was going to become a huge success. That was until second season syndrome kicked in and he managed only one goal in eight games before being shipped off to Real Madrid on loan where, (coincidentally) he was a success which earned him his transfer to Spurs. His time at Spurs, without the loan to the biggest club in the world, followed a very similar path. Eighteen goals in thirty seven games was followed by eight in thirty four. There was a brief return to form under Tactics Tim Sherwood, but after he was given the boot, Adebayor found both form and opportunities hard to come by.
