It must be brilliant to be one of Diego Maradona's kids. Growing up with one of the greatest footballers of all time, hearing stories, being surrounded by incredible memorabilia of a life spent dazzling crowds in some of the biggest stadiums in the world. Unfortunately for one of his children, he refused to acknowledge them for most of his life. Diego was typically respectful to the poor lad's feelings:
"My legitimate kids are Dalma and Giannina. The rest are a product of my money and mistakes."
Diego Junior was born during Maradona's time with Napoli 1986 and didn't meet his father until 2003 when he snuck onto a golf course where Maradona was playing in order to confront him. This came ten years after a court ruled that El Diego was the father after he had pointedly refused to take any kind of paternity test. Among his many tax evasion allegations are a number of separate claims for unpaid child support.
