The German national squad has always been blessed with a myriad of talented players, and Timo Werner could be set to lead the line for Die Mannschaft for many years to come. The RB Leipzig striker became the youngest Bundesliga player to rack up 150 appearances in the competition earlier this year and was a core component of Germany's perfect World Cup qualifying campaign, scoring 3 goals in total.

The 22-year-old forward has already scored 7 goals for the national side in just 12 appearances and has been outstanding at club level too. This season alone, he's scored 12 league goals for Leipzig and was especially prolific in the club's Europa League run, with a total tally of 7 strikes in European competitions.

Werner is one of the Bundesliga's hottest properties right now. He's a brilliant finisher and has proven to be highly adept at playing his teammates into great positions too, with a total of 8 assists so far this season. With Mario Gomez in the twilight years of his career and Thomas Müller out of form, the Germans will be relying on Werner as their number one striker this summer.
