10 Ways To Reinvent The Ultimate Fighter TV Show

5. Create A TUF World Series

Tuf World We've now seen Ultimate Fighter seasons featuring the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Brazil, Australia, China, and next up is Mexico vs. Latin America, which will feature heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and challenger Fabricio Werdum as coaches. We've heard talks of expansion to India, and there are European territories that could prove interesting as well. What about Japan? Imagine a bracket that looked something like the one above. I seeded that randomly, so ignore the ranking numbers, because in no way would Brazil be 7th, but in any case, an eight-country tournament would be a fantastic starting point. You could start elimination matches in each participating country then have the winners enter the tournament. Or you could have the top seeds from each country enter into a larger format tourney. There's a ton of potential, and to be fair, the UFC has made some vague references to this sort of tournament before. I'd say that after the upcoming Velasquez season of TUF, the time might be right.
