10 Ways To Reinvent The Ultimate Fighter TV Show

4. Have A Veteran Season

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMd0HoIqi5s Yes, the Ultimate Fighter did have a season called The Comeback, way back in 2006. That was season 4. It seems as if creativity when it comes to TUF has gone far downhill since then. Why? Season 4 was the season that saw Matt Sera awarded a title shot against GSP. Sera went on to upset the legend, though we mostly remember the beating GSP put on him in their second fight, when the Canadian took his belt back. Is the UFC afraid of having an upset like that happen again? Well, a title shot doesn't have to be on the line (although that's another idea we'll get to later). However, there is so much talent in the UFC that is regularly coming and going. Plenty go to the WSOF or regionals, looking to build up win streaks and gain entrance back into the top MMA promotion. If you could sort out the logistics and sign enough of them at the same time, offering up a ticket back to the big show, you'd have a group of motivated, experienced fighters who could bring fights, with names fans were already familiar with and more likely to tune in to watch. You won't get the Fitch or Okami level guys, but you could still sign some decent talent.
