Over the last couple of years, Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea has progressed from a gangly, unassured youth who was failing to pay back his hefty price tag at Old Trafford, into one of the worlds finest goalkeepers. As things stand, he is arguably the best shot-stopper in England and one would feel that its only a matter of time before Real Madrid come calling when the iconic Iker Casillas decides to bow out. Despite what some media outlets would have the public believe, however, de Geas salary has not changed since penning his first deal at Old Trafford in the summer of 2011. Despite being one of the worlds brightest young prospects, he still pockets a basic wage of £52,000 each week - one cant help but feel that would be tripled at the Santiago Bernabeu.
