Number of caps: 3 We've mentioned before the terrible injustice that was Keith Curle winning 3 caps at the time when Steve Bruce won a grand total of none. The Manchester City defender played in a couple of friendlies and was called up to the squad for Euro '92 and did make an appearance - inexplicably, at right back, which was not his position. England played their familiar refrain and crashed out of the Euros at the first stage. Mercifully, something good did come out of that failure. Curle didn't play for England again. Unfortunately though, it didn't stop then-manger Graham Taylor picking woefully unqualified players for England.
