The Rose Bowl follows suit with the Cotton Bowl, with a similar style and purpose, though it continues to host its namesake game and has done since 1923. The bowl has also hosted other worldwide events such as the 1994 World Cup Final with Brazil beating Italy in a tense penalty shootout. The attendance for every game it hosted during the tournament topped 90,000.
