20 English Players Newcastle Should Sign This Summer

A name some Premier League fans may not be familiar with, but Football League connoisseurs will know him extremely well - because Callum Wilson has developed rapidly since moving to Bournemouth for £3 million last summer. The former Coventry City forward netted 23 goals in 55 Football League games for the Sky Blues, and has added 19 Championship strikes to that record for the Cherries this campaign. In fact, his goals are an important reason behind why Eddie Howe's men achieved promotion as winners of the Championship. At 5ft 11in, Wilson is not the tallest but he can hold the ball up reasonably well and he is pacey too. Already recognised with England Under-21 honours, Wilson is catching the eye of some big sides in England - and, despite Bournemouth's promotion, an offer of £6 million-plus could be enough to bring the 23-year-old to the North East.
