20 Most Bizarre Moments In Premier League History

8. Kevin Keegan Loses His Cool

A run of five consecutive defeats had seen Newcastle United's 12 point lead at the top of the Premier League table evaporate before manager Kevin Keegan's eyes. With one game left in the 1995/96 season, and Alex Ferguson's Manchester United looking likely to triumph over the Magpies, Keegan called a press conference. What followed was the most infamous managerial meltdown in league history as King Kev completely gave in to frustration, proclaiming "I would love it if we beat them! Love it!". Unfortunately for him, the Red Devils won their final league game at Middlesbrough and took home the trophy.
