4. Barnetts Impressive Bullying
Josh Barnett is a legit tough guy, an old school bar room brawl type MMA fighter that doesnt think about strategy or going the full 5 rounds he gets into the cage swinging looking for the finish. He is also a pretty good definition of a journeyman fighter having performed all around the world in virtually every MMA promotion there has ever been. He has also fought in some of the biggest names and legends in the sport so with a 33-6 record The Warmaster shows that he has had great success throughout his career. Barnett is a huge believer in catch wrestling which aides his ability to take fighters down to be finished by either his powerful ground and pound or his deadly submission game. The former UFC champion is a deadly competitor and finally he was back in the organisation that made his name and was looking great against Frank Mir. Its been over a decade since Barnett fought in the Octagon after years of bad blood with UFC president Dana White Barnetts last fight in the UFC was his title winning fight however his post-fight drugs test was positive for steroids and he was suspended. He is now back and showed hes back in a big way taking out Frank Mir with a first round TKO. Sure the stoppable was a little early but it only saved Frank Mir from having his face pounded into mush. Barnett had Mir locked in a tight clinch and was just unloading on another former heavyweight champion with big power shots. It was finally a stiff knee to the head that dropped Mir giving Barnett a huge win and showing the rest of the division what he can do. Who is next for Barnett? Well Big Ben Rothwell also won on the card so a clash with him could happen also Travis Browne who is on a massive winning roll could also be pushed in Barnetts path even a match with Alistair Overeem which would be a real fist swinging punch up could be next for Josh.
