Manchester City have gotten off to quite the start this season in both the Premier League and the Champions League, as Pep Guardiola's charges appear to be clicking as a unit.

The blue half of Manchester will be keen to avenge what was an all together poor first season under the Spaniard last time out, with the Citizens coming up short in the race for the Premier League title and in the cup competitions.

This year though, the club look a different beast entirely. Summer additions of the likes of Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy, and goalkeeper Ederson all appear to have improved the squad drastically, and there's a wave of optimism around the Etihad.

With 21 league goals already, City look well set to mount a serious charge towards glory this season. Their last three Premier League games have seen them hit five past Liverpool, six past Watford, and five again past a bewildered Crystal Palace.

There's more than just goals to this City side though, making them well equipped for success on all fronts this year.

7. More Money If Needed In January

City remain one of the wealthiest clubs in world football, and despite an outlay of over £200m in the summer transfer window, if things are going well for City come January and Guardiola thinks one of two additions will get them over the line, then there will be no problem in going out and getting them.

January is always a tricky time for clubs to go out and buy top players, with Champions League constraints often a factor in teams not moving for certain players.

Either way, for City, whether things are going well or not quite to plan, it's quite the option for Guardiola to have available to him if he feels he needs it come January.
