Italian champions Juventus have cooled their summer long interest in signing Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie.

"A top player is not only judged by how much he costs," said Marotta. "It can also mean a player who costs less but on the pitch shows an absolute value. "Van Persie is a great player but Arsenal do not intend to lose him. And you cannot indulge in a player if the owners don't want (to sell).
The comments come after Manchester United reportedly had a bid of less than £10 million rejected for the PFA Player of the Year. Marotta did however confirm the arrival of one Premier League player to Juventus this summer as Manchester United midfielder has now arrived in Italy to finalise his transfer. The 19-year-old French youngster has been accused of showing no respect to Manchester United as he refused to sign a new deal in favour of joining Juve but Sir. Alex Ferguson critics believe the veteran manager took his eye of the ball and that he should have tied him up to an extension months ago and that he would have never left a promising youngster leave in the 90's. source - teamtalk
