Barcelona Transfers: 5 Players They Must Sign

2. Denzel Dumfries (PSV)

After making his international debut last October, Denzel Dumfries has become a vital part of Ronald Koeman's Netherlands team as he's made the right-back position his own.

The PSV man has already played over 170 games in club football, despite having not long turned 23 years of age. Having played for Sparta Rotterdam and Heerenveen before joining PSV, Dumfries is a star on the rise and his career trajectory could well see him depart the Eredivise for one of European football's bigger clubs at some point soon.

With Barcelona in need of reinforcements in their right-back position, a player like Denzel Dumfries fits the bill for what Barca would require from a RB - his strong 6'2" frame and his speed and athleticism allowing him to be a truly dominant force of nature down the right flank, whether that's in a defensive or attacking sense.

PSV Eindhoven hold all the cards here, of course, with the player having signed a five-year deal with the Dutch giants last summer.

If PSV would be interested in selling Dumfries at the right price - that price reportedly £25 million - then Barcelona should be going hard to try and get the powerhouse full-back to the Camp Nou before the transfer window closes on September 2nd.
