Chelsea Transfers: 5 Reasons They'd Be Mad To Let Frank Lampard Go

5. He Is Still Capable of Winning Big Games

Lampard Frank Lampard demonstrated in yesterday's Premier League clash with Everton that he is still capable of winning big games for his side. Everton had Chelsea under the cosh at times during the first half and went 1-0 up inside the first two minutes. The Toffees were undefeated at Goodison Park in 14 games, stretching back to their 1-0 defeat by Arsenal way back in March. Lampard changed all that with his sides only two goals of the game, and if that isn't a stark reminder that he is still needed at this club, I don't know what is. It wasn't just last night that he scored, either. He has been scoring in each of his last three Premier League starts, proof that consigning him to Chelsea history is a tad premature.
