Everton: 10 Reasons Lukaku And Barkley Are Best Signings Of 2014

10. They Can Both Still Improve

https://twitter.com/TonyBellew/status/494770049149050880 With Barkley aged just 20 and Lukaku 21, both have the potential and the time to easily become world class players. Barkley demonstrated his ability at the World Cup, even though England failed to make any impact on the competition whatsoever. The midfielder seemed to be the only player who would have a go at the opposition, rather than lazily pass the ball about before losing it. Whilst Lukaku didn't capture his best form with Belgium at the competition in Brazil, he still managed to make four appearances and scored against the USA as well as setting up a goal in the same game. The striker is an integral part of an emerging Belgium side who have all the makings of a great squad, and this could also be replicated at Goodison Park now that he has become a permanent signing. Everton seem to have an excellent balance of youth and experience in their squad, with players like Lukaku and Barkley playing alongside Gareth Barry and Leighton Baines. This means that the seasoned members of the squad can pass on their knowledge to these youngsters and in turn, make them into the best players they could possibly be.
