FIFA 15: Man Utd Ratings Prediction

11. David de Gea - FIFA 14 Rating - 82

There were very few Manchester United players who covered themselves in glory last season but one of them was David de Gea. The goalkeeper's growth and maturity was one of the bright spots of an otherwise dank campaign in 2013-14 with the young Spaniard putting in a series of assured performances to help put behind him the doubts that were raised over his ability just a few years ago.

When de Gea arrived in England, many pundits and football experts said he lacked the physicality to cut it in the Premier League and a series of gaffes when coming to collect corners and set-pieces justified those concerns. However, it can no longer be said that the shot-stopper doesn't have a future in England's topflight.

Still only 23, de Gea is one of the youngest keepers in Europe and has enormous potential, and has been showing why those lofty expectations are justified by making a series of outstanding reflex stops last season €“ you need only watch replays of the block that denied James Chester in the closing moments of United€™s 3-2 Boxing Day win at Hull earlier this year for an example of this.

There aren€™t too many United players who deserve an increase in rating in FIFA 15 following a series of dismal performances throughout the whole squad, however, if there is one player who deserves a boost right now it is most certainly the Spanish saver, whose personal growth could be reflected by an additional one point to his rating from last year's game.

PREDICTED FIFA 15 RATING: 83
