Match Preview

Newly-promoted Premier League teams more often than not usually have to wait for that elusive, first win of the season to ease their top-flight jitters. Try telling that to Hull City and manager Steve Bruce, who now has two league wins under his belt and a place booked in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup. Last weekend's 3-2 victory over Newcastle was indicative of the Tiger's pluck and sheer determination to stay in this division, while West Ham were instead on the receiving end of a five-goal thriller. The Hammers sank to a 3-2 reverse against Everton last weekend, and find themselves in an entirely different situation than today's hosts. Sam Allardyce's side have only amassed five points from a possible 15, and have not won in the Premier League since the opening day of the season. This should still be tight affair, though, and while it may not have the goals and thrills of last weekend's fixtures, Bruce and Allardyce will just be occupied with getting those three points on the board.
