Mirror. The French outfit currently play in Ligue 2 but Russian billionaire owner Dmitry Rybolovlev has grand plans for his side, and is determined to get them promoted back to the top tier of French football and back into the Champions League. Ranked the 97th richest man in the world by Forbes magazine, Rybolovlev is prepared to break the bank to achieve his dream, and wants Mancini to spearhead his brave venture. He will offer the Italian a whopping transfer kitty along with a three-year deal worth £22 million in wages. Mancini's countryman Carlo Ancelotti is currently in charge of Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain, and Rybolovlev is determined to challenge them as the kings of French football. After winning the Premier League last year, Mancini agreed a new deal at the Etihad which runs until 2017. However, following a second successive elimination from the group stages of the Champions League coupled with Manchester United's 15 point advantage at the top of the table, his job at the Etihad could now be threatened. Monaco are poised to gain promotion from Ligue 2 under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri, and their ambitious plans may be too tempting for Mancini to turn down.
