Aleksandr Kolarov has been tipped to quit Man City for quite a while. Despite playing over 200 games for the club, he has never seemed settled in Manchester - and that’s not just going by his permanently glum facial expression.

Ever since the Serbian landed in England five years ago, it seems as though he's been making noises about boarding a flight out of the country, grumbling every time Gael Clichy climbed above him in the pecking order. Last season Kolarov was an almost-constant fixture in the side, featuring 32 times, but still he remains forlorn about his future prospects at the Etihad.

Besiktas have been linked with the Serbian in recent months, with Guardiola said to be in the hunt for a new left-back.

While the 30-year-old enjoyed a decent campaign last time out, there are visible signs that his legs are slowing. Take the attacking threat out of Kolarov, and you are left with a feeble imitation of a defender.

There’s only so many more years he can get down the line to ping in a cross or smack a stinging drive at the goalkeeper, which is why the he could be on the way out.
