Man Utd Next Boss: 10 Replacements For Louis Van Gaal
4. Eddie Howe
If you look at the league table, Eddie Howe is the best English manager in club football right now. His Bournemouth side sit 13th in the Premier League, with safety all but guaranteed. An incredible achievement for a club that was on its knees eight years ago and nearly went into liquidation. Howe has dragged the Cherries up the divisions, which is even more remarkable when you consider how young Howe is. Forced to end his playing career early, Howe became Bournemouth manager at the age of 31, and in seven years and two spells at the club has guided them to the Premier League. If Manchester United want someone English to take charge of the club, then Howe has to be the top candidate. Howe's age could be the big stumbling block. Every player at Bournemouth respects him and buys in to his ethos, but would the same happen at a club the size of Manchester United? Howe's footballing philosophy would be a hit at Old Trafford, but the ego of the players may never let it come to fruition.
