Man Utd Transfer News: Hernandez To Real Madrid?

The Daily Star, Sir Alex Ferguson hopes that selling Mexican striker Javier Hernandez to Real Madrid might tempt the Spanish champions into letting some of their star players go. According to the report, the news follows reports in Spain that have linked Madrid boss Jose Mourinho with a move for the striker. But, according to the Star, rather than consider a straight cash deal for the 24-year-old, Fergie wants to see at least one of Madrid's stars move to Old Trafford as part of the deal. He has previously been linked with defenders Raul Albiol and Raphael Varane, as well as Sergio Ramos's who the Star say they are monitoring. They also suggest that Fergie's dream target would be Brazilian star Kaka, after he aborted a bid for the Brazilian during the summer. At Real Madrid, manager Jose Mourinho's options are relatively limited in the striker department, where he can count on only Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain, and Chicharito would certainly offer further options. Since his impressive first season, in which he scored 20 goals, Hernandez has struggled for form, though he has scored 33 goals in 88 appearances and earned a new five-year contract at Old Trafford last October. What do you think United fans? Is it time for Hernandez to move on? Share your thoughts below.
