2. Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint Germain)

It's going to cost United an arm and a leg to land Edinson Cavani, but money isn't much of an object at Old Trafford these days is it? Realistically, this move could happen. Cavani is valued at around £50m, but given talk is rife that he doesn't get along with Paris Saint Germain's main man (Zlatan Ibrahimovic, that is) it looks as though something has to give sooner or later. Throw in to the mix that the Uruguayan often finds himself shoved out to the right side of the attack and there's even more value in the story. Cavani is a central striker, make no bones about it. Van Gaal may have shown all season that he's prepared to play square pegs in round holes, but Cavani won't fall victim to that. He's shown in Italy and in France that he knows exactly where the net is, offers a physical presence up front, works his socks off and can finish both on the floor and with his head. Though his form this season hasn't always suggested it, Cavani is the total package.
