Man Utd Transfers: 7 Radamel Falcao Alternatives Van Gaal Must Sign

3. Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)

There's a third Argentinian striker enjoying his time in Serie A - but this one boasts a little more experience. Gonzalo Higuain is currently plying his trade at Napoli and playing under former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, who recently has labelled the player one of the best strikers in the world. He's played well in patches this season, but given he's proven himself over the course of six years with Real Madrid - he hit 122 goals in 264 games - Higuain is amongst a small group of elite strikers who are realistically 'gettable'. United haven't ever been too hot on the 27-year-old's heels though. Liverpool have been the main team eyeing up Higuain's services, and talk intensified last summer that he could switch to Anfield as the Reds looked to replace Luis Suarez. United however are now the team in need, and they could do much worse than rival the Reds for this guy.
