Mesut Ozil Enjoying Life At Arsenal

After costing Arsenal £42.4 million this summer, the pressure was on Mesut Ozil to prove he was worth the Gunners breaking their transfer budget and wage structure to accommodate him into the side. He hasn't let them down. With four assists in just two games, Ozil has certainly lived up to his billing early on. Pundits described the German international as 'playing like he's been at Arsenal all his life' due to the way he has seamlessly come into the side and performed. The supporters have already taken to him as one of their own, and are enjoying the side's great run of form that has seen them rise to the top of the Premier League after five games. By his own admission, Ozil couldn't have wished for a better start to his Arsenal career, and is confident the glory days can return. His final season with Real Madrid ended on a sour note, but his love for football has returned thanks to the Gunners, and it's evident in his performances. The 24-year old has already shone to star status with the fans, and is now being compared to Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp - there's hardly a greater compliment. Arsene Wenger said of his big summer signing;
'He's given a lift to everyone at the club. He will get better when he fully integrates into the pace of the game. My job here is to make everyone happy. Ozil's number of assists are not a coincidence, they are a reality of his game. He is a great player.'
