Newcastle United 2013/14 Home Shirt Revealed By Puma

Screen Shot 2013-08-01 at 09.47.54 Newcastle United's 2013/14 home shirt could potentially have been leaked early after this photograph was placed on the kit manufacturer's website before being swiftly taken down last night. The Puma kit seems identical to that which was also leaked last month by young Swiss defender Kevin Mbabu. The shirt design of course stays true to the club€™s traditional black and white-striped image and bares the logo of new sponsors Wonga. The controversial short-term money lending company will have their brand image featured on the front of the new kit from the beginning of this season, sparking a dispute with striker Papiss Cisse, which has since been resolved. Cisse had refused to wear the logo on religious grounds. Meanwhile, Newcastle are hoping they can complete a loan move for Loic Remy this summer after a move for Darren Bent collapsed. Bent and his agent are believed to have been far from impressed following a meeting with the Magpie's new director of football Joe Kinnear, who was only willing to offer £2 million for the Aston Villa forward. And that could lead to the North East club rekindling their interest in Remy, whom they tried to sign unsuccessfully in the January window. Reports suggest Newcastle want the former Marseille man, now at QPR, on a season loan.
