2. Ray Ray Armstrong- DB- Miami
We have had all offense up until this point, we need a little D. Well, little is relative with Ray Ray. He is a monster 6'3" 216 pound safety. He has good speed at 4.6 40 times and is built like the hulk. A compliance issue made him miss his senior year and instead he helped in a coaching role. Before his missed season many would have picked him in the first 2 rounds, if not sooner. The experience coaching this past season will proof valuable to him, the football IQ gained from film-work will be huge. His 79 tackles, 4.5 TFL and 3 ints in 2010,were enough for teams to learn to not throw towards him. He earned All-ACC honors and then saw a minor stat decrease in 2011. That was likely because of less opportunity. He has shown he can play a very good DB position and is closest to Dashon Goldson in the NFL. The former 49er is a pro bowl safety, I expect nothing less from a full potential Ray Ray. He has all the potential to become a very explosive safety. Reaching that potential will take a little coaching, but it appears he has kept his body conditioned for football. Potential landing spots for Ray Ray are in Minnesota, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Miami. Cincinnati is in need of a safety to couple with Reggie Nelson. Ray Ray may fit nicely, but, I see them spending one of their first 3 picks on a safety this would be a depth spot and most likely their last pick in the 7th round. Not probably going to happen. The other three teams are legitimate players in rounds 4-6. I see him ending up in Minnesota where they need secondary help. Miami also appears very high on this former 'Cane.
