Norwich Transfers: 5 Potential January Moves For Nathan Redmond

4. Sunderland

Sunderland have been linked with a move for Redmond in the past and with wins hard to come by this season, they might be tempted to renew their interest. The Wearsiders have the third worst attacking record in the Premier League this season having only scored 12 times. They will want to improve on that record if they are going to avoid being sucked into a relegation battle this season. The club also have the joint worst record in the league for scoring goals from open play with only five managed all season. If other types of goals dry up such as from set pieces, the team could be in serious trouble. As we know, teams that struggle to score goals often get dragged into the relegation picture, and teams with that goalscorer can often survive. Sunderland remain reliant on Steven Fletcher for goals, but we know that he doesn€™t have the best injury record. Therefore, it€™s likely that a bit more attacking emphasis will want to be added to the team in January. As previously mentioned, Redmond may not add loads of goals but he is certainly a player that makes things happen.
