10. Andrei Arshavin
The enigmatic Russian has been the very definition of inconsistency such day one at the Emirates. Four goal blasts at Anfield are combined with completely anonymous performances. The ex-Zenit player has the skills, Euro 2008 showed that, but rarely has he produced anywhere near that level. Along with the likes of Marouane Chamakh, Andre Santos and Niclas Bendtner, Arshavin is surplus to requirements at Arsenal the fact he has been used so sparingly despite Arsenals patchy form shows how unimportant he now is to Arsene Wenger but even a return to Zenit on loan last season did not stir the player into form. Most likely to return to Russia where his name still holds sway with supporters, Arshavin and Arsenal would welcome a move, although wages could prove an eternal sticking point.
