9. Romain Amalfitano
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E57xyXD4qsQ Newcastle United took another step in their successful French revolution by securing the services of Romain Amalfitano on a three-year contract. In February, the Stade de Reims midfielder agreed in principle to transfer to Newcastle, and he returned to their Benton training ground to finalise his move from the French side. Amalfitano is a 22 year old attacking midfielder who will be expecting to push for a first-team role next season and make his mark in English football. He is a talented playmaker with a good passing range and an astute finish, which is proved by his six goals for Reims on their way to promotion. Romain Amalfitano is a wildcard in this quite stellar line up, but I have a feeling that Newcastles French scouts will have done their homework on this player, and their recent transfer history would suggest that Amalfitano will certainly be one to watch in the upcoming season.
