Premier League 2012/13: Top 10 Transfers Of The Summer (So Far...)

8. Steven Fletcher to Sunderland - £12 Million

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAQXExHcu20 Although this deal has not officially gone through yet, a fee has been agreed between the two clubs and the move appears to be imminent. When Nicklas Bendtner's loan spell at Sunderland ended, they were left without any quality strikers who could break double figures. Since then they have signed Louis Saha on a free transfer, but I believe it is the arrival of Fletcher which will prove to be the more successful of the two deals. Fletcher has the best head of any forward in the Premier League, scoring the majority of his goals with it. For the past 3 seasons he has managed to break double figures for sides struggling at the tail end of the Premier League and now he is at a stable mid table club like Sunderland, expect his goal tallies to continue to rise.
