Club: Liverpool Belgian Mignolet has had a lot to live up to between the sticks for Liverpool after replacing the highly regarded Pepe Reina this summer. A signingfrom Sunderland which was questioned at the time, it hasn't taken Mignolet long to prove the critics wrong as he has contributed to his club's excellent league form that saw them top the table on Christmas day. Mignolet boasts a massive save rate so far this season - one of the best in the Premier League in fact - and has pulled off several game defining stops which have earned Liverpool valuable points, including keeping out a last minute Jonathan Walters penalty against Stoke on the opening day of the season. Although he hasn't quite reached those heights of late, he is still doing a good job at proving why Rodgers was right to ditch Reina in favour of him. The fact that the response from Liverpool fans and football fans in general has been largely positive is a good indicator about how Mignolet has performed since making the move from the North East.
