Premier League Transfers: 10 Ligue 1 Players England Needs
6. Max-Alain Gradel - Saint Etienne
Gradel has previously spent time in England playing for Leicester, Bournemouth and most prominently, Leeds United, with whom he earned promotion to The Championship in 2010. Gradel has been one of the standout players in Ligue 1 this past season, with the Ivorian scoring 17 goals playing as a winger for Saint Etienne, who finished 5th. Having began his career in these shores, Gradel is classed as a homegrown player, having spent over 5 years in England before his 21st birthday. Gradel is someone with electrifying pace, as well as being blessed with tight dribbling which would cause even the best of defenders trouble. The question is whether he would be willing to sacrifice a place in the Europa League with his current side Saint Etienne next season, or whether he wants a more difficult challenge playing against higher quality of opposition in England.
