Jamaal Lascelles' stock has risen over the last twelve months, with some even calling for the Newcastle centre back to receive a call-up for the England national side, but he's still often overlooked when anyone talks about the best defenders in the Premier League.

The 2017-18 season was actually Lascelles' second experience of the top flight. He played in 18 Premier League games for Newcastle back in 2015-16, scoring twice in the process, and then proved to be a huge player for the side as they won the Championship and earned promotion, heroically playing through the pain barrier after undergoing a hernia operation.

A reliable leader, strong in the air and in the tackle, the 24-year-old might see out another season with Newcastle but could easily slot into the back line of one of the Premier League's biggest clubs and has allegedly drawn interest from both Liverpool and Everton in recent times.
