Spurs New Manager: 10 Replacements For Tim Sherwood

1. Frank De Boer

By far and away the hot favourite for the role of Spurs boss is current Ajax manager Frank de Boer. The Dutchman has enjoyed a phenomenal start to his full managerial career - having previous been the youth coach at Ajax and assistant manager of the Netherlands national side - winning no less than four Eredivisie league titles since taking over at the club in 2010. The stories linking de Boer with White Hart Lane have been the subject of major controversy. The Dutchman came out stating that he had been informally approached by Spurs about potentially taking the manager's job while Tim Sherwood was still in charge - and this angered Tim Sherwood to the point that he said that either de Boer was lying, or Spurs were lying to him, regarding whether or not the two parties had spoken. De Boer has said that he will be talking further with Spurs about potentially taking over this summer and this is why he is the strong favourite for the role. He is a big name in football, having carved out a brilliant playing career for himself with the likes of Ajax, Barcelona, Galatasaray and Glasgow Rangers, as well as the Dutch national side, and his typically Dutch total football playing style - as well as his familiarity with current Spurs players like Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, Nacer Chadli and Mousa Dembele - would suggest he is the ideal man to replace Sherwood. So there you have it - ten potential replacements for Tim Sherwood at Spurs. Do you agree with any of these? Would you suggest anyone else? Let us know in the comments box below.
