Spurs Poll: Should Federico Fazio Start Against Sunderland?

Do Spurs need their new Argentinian defender to play immediately?

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club made six new signings in the summer transfer window - left back Ben Davies joined from Swansea City for £10 million, goalkeeper Michel Vorm also joined from Swansea City for £5 million, centre back Eric Dier joined from Sporting Clube de Portugal for £4 million, right back DeAndre Yedlin joined from Seattle Sounders for £2.5 million, centre back Federico Fazio joined from Sevilla for £8 million and centre midfielder Benjamin Stambouli joined from Montpellier for £4.7 million. Only two of the six have turned out in a Spurs shirt so far - Ben Davies and Eric Dier - with Dier in particular impressing, having given accomplished defensive performances at both centre back and right back and having scored twice in his first two Premier League games against West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers respectively. DeAndre Yedlin remains at Seattle Sounders on loan while Michel Vorm will remain as Hugo Lloris' understudy for the foreseeable future, we're sure, so that leaves two potential debuts in Spurs' next match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light - for Federico Fazio and Benjamin Stambouli respectively - and it's Fazio we'll be focusing on here. The Argentinian - who had just been made captain of last season's Europa League winners Sevilla prior to his move to North London - has been brought in to shore up the Spurs defence and, if the last match against Liverpool is anything to go by, they certainly need shoring up at the back. So we want to know if you think he should be brought in immediately, now that he's fully available, to partner Jan Vertonghen in a new look central defensive pairing?
