Ahmed Elmohamady: Left Alonso for dead in the first half on more than once occasion, looked a constant threat down the wing and combined well with Rosenoir to provide width. 7/10 Tom Huddlestone: The midfield enforcer had a quiet game. Best contribution was spreading the play well to the flanks as Hull looked to expose Sunderland's ten men. Poor set piece delivery however. 5/10 Jake Livermore: Bruce commented post match that he would like to make the on loan Tottenham man a permanent signing and it's easy to see why. Confident at shooting from distance, the midfielder broke the play up well. His shot was headed in by Long for the first goal. 7/10 Paul McShane: Dealt well with the threat of Altidore but in truth the American striker made it any easy day at the office for the former Sunderland defender. 6/10 Shane Long: Terrorised the defence from the first minute. His pace forced Wes Brown into a rash tackle and subsequent red card. Scored a clever headed goal to put Hull ahead and whipped a great strike onto the post moments later. Chased everything with his usual exuberance and energy and deserves his man of the match. 8/10 Man Of The Match Nikica Jelavic: Potentially luck to still be in the pitch after a poor tackle in the second half, the striker went on to score a couple of minutes later. He missed chances but he will be buoyed by his goal and will hope the strike can kick start his season. 7/10 Subs Koren: Played out on the wing second half, had one shot which came to nothing) Aluko: N/A Brady: N/A Were you at the game?
