Aaron Mooy was a revelation for Huddersfield Town during their push towards promotion last season. The Australian Manchester City loanee made 48 appearances for the Terriers, contributing four goals and five assists from a defensive-minded central midfield and netting in their penalty shootout victories over Sheffield Wednesday and Reading.

The midfielder won of a host of post-season awards, scooping spots in the English Football League Team of the Season, the PFA's Championship Team of the Year, as well as taking home solo awards as Huddersfield Town's Player of the Year and Foundation Player Of The Season.

There are reports that up to 12 clubs are interested in landing Mooy's signature once he's made a decision on his Manchester City future, despite Huddersfield manager David Wagner keen to convert his loan spell into a £12million permanent move.

Mooy's Championship successes last season could entice Derek McInnes, who could build a transformative new first team around the Socceroo general.
